About Thai Yoga Massage Certification

Thai Massage, (also known as Nuad Borarn, Thai Yoga Massage, and Thai Bodywork), seamlessly blends massage therapy, compression, stretching, assisted yoga, and other manual therapies. This ancient bodywork is believed to have its origins in Ayurveda, Theraveda Buddhism, and shares similarities with Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is one of the branches of Traditional Thai Medicine.
The Thai Yoga Massage practitioner uses hands, feet, elbows, and knees to apply the therapeutic techniques. The sessions are performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor. In this course, you will learn to apply Thai massage techniques in the supine, prone, side-lying and seated positions. You will learn a routine that will last 90 minutes to 2-hours in length, along with specific variations for height, size, and injuries. This class is ideal for those massage therapists, yoga practitioners, energy workers, or those with a background in anatomy. A manual is included in the cost.
This class is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) for 32 CE hours. Approved Provider # 451899-12.
